Whoever said sunset in the city is nothing compared to the sunset in the beach has no idea where to catch sight of it. If you’re on the look out for a quick summer getaway that has never been closer to your home, then this is the place to be! STATUS Magazine in collaboration with Tattoo took us on an afternoon delight, by bringing us at the highest residential skyscraper in town to watch the most magnificent sunset in the metro – 71 Gramercy. A bar/lounge/restaurant that is sitting atop the 71st floor of the tallest building in the country.
I’ve said it so many times and I’ll say it again : “These guys sure know how to spice up our summer!”. With live performances from DJ Aaron Atayde, DJ Wreck One, June Marieezy, SINYMA, Taken by Cars, and of course, the turntable assassin, DJ Mars Miranda, it was really one hell of an afternoon.
Imagine staring at this beautiful scenery accompanied by the freshest beats and sounds over good food and company, truly breathtaking! Definitely the best way to jump-start summer!
Hands down to whoever thought of this concept and installed these LED-like frames (Yes, I call them the “LED frames”). Reminds me so much of the moving portraits in Harry Potter, lol. On a more serious note, as the sun goes down and hit the frames, it made everything so surreal as we watch the videos being shown, especially the collaboration between Dockers and STATUS. Amazing BTS shoot!
I don’t know if it’s just me or this photo captured the very essence of this sunset party. To just have fun, chill out, and mingle with your friends while watching the beautiful sunset at Gramercy. ‘Nuff Said!
June Marieezy serenading the crown and lifting us up to heaven! This girl is superb!
STATUS also launched their Music Issue for the month of April that day with no less than THE Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on the cover, including Red Hot Chili Peppers who headline the recently concluded 7107 International Music Festival and The 1975! Ya’ll have to grab a copy, this issue is packed!
STATUS can’t seem to get enough with collaborations, and this time they’re teaming up with the creative geniuses behind OXYGEN for a yard sale! And they’re looking for vendors! So if you happen to know one who might be interested, just give them a heads up and shoot them an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’m excited for the food trucks, though!
